# Mote asset packs

> Ten real things woven from tens of thousands of glinting beads, like a cabinet of curiosities scanned into point clouds: a peony that breathes, a dandelion you can blow away, a swallowtail, a moon jelly, a chambered nautilus, fly agarics shedding spores, a feather, a koi, an hourglass whose sand really runs and a steaming teacup. Each flies in from dust, sheds loose beads at its edges and parts around your cursor like smoke; tap for its trick. Six palettes.

- [Teacup](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-teacup.md): Mote pack: a fluted teacup on its saucer, with a band in the palette's second color, a looped handle, tea that shivers and four wisps of steam curling up and fading. Tap to drop a sugar cube in: a crown splashes up, rings run out to the rim and the steam billows. WebGL point cloud.
- [Hourglass](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-hourglass.md): Mote pack: an hourglass in a turned frame. Sand runs out of the top bulb into a funnel, falls through the neck as a thread of grains and builds a cone below. When the top is empty the glass turns itself over and starts again. Tap to knock it: the grains in both heaps jump and the stream sprays. WebGL point cloud.

Its body bends in a traveling wave while a long veil of a tail and trailing fins follow a beat behind, with barbels at the mouth and patches in the palette's second color. - [Feather](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-feather.md): Mote pack: a flight feather with a tapering shaft, two vanes of fine barbs swept toward the tip with a few natural splits, soft down at the quill and bars across the vane. It rocks like a feather falling while its barbs ripple in the air. Tap to twirl it around its shaft. WebGL point cloud.
- [Fly Agaric](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-mushroom.md): Mote pack: two fly agarics in a tuft of moss, with domed caps flecked with raised warts, fans of gills underneath and a skirt on each stem. Spores sift down from the gills and drift away. Tap to squash the big cap: it bounces back and puffs out a cloud of spores. WebGL point cloud.
- [Nautilus](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-nautilus.md): Mote pack: a chambered nautilus cut in half, the way shells are shown in a cabinet. The outer wall follows a true logarithmic spiral with stripes on its back, and inside sixteen curved septa wall off the chambers, threaded by the siphuncle. It turns slowly so you see shell, then chambers. Tap to roll it once around its spiral. WebGL point cloud.
- [Moon Jelly](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-jellyfish.md): Mote pack: a moon jellyfish with a scalloped bell over four glowing gonad rings, four frilled oral arms and a fringe of long tentacles. Each beat squeezes the bell, lifts it and sends a wave down every tentacle. Tap to fire a jet: it clenches, shoots up with its tentacles streaming, then drifts back down. WebGL point cloud.
- [Swallowtail](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-butterfly.md): Mote pack: a swallowtail butterfly with its beads laid along the veins, fanning out from the body the way real ones do, with a dark margin, pale spots and an eyespot on each tail. It opens and closes its wings slowly and pauses open. Tap to make it flutter hard, lift off, loop and settle back. WebGL point cloud.
- [Dandelion](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-dandelion.md): Mote pack: a dandelion clock, 240 seeds each drawn as a stalk and a parachute of fine filaments, on a stem that sways in the breeze. Now and then a seed lets go and floats off. Tap to blow: the windward seeds sail away one after another, tumbling on the wind, and the head fills back in. WebGL point cloud.
- [Peony](https://www.assembli.design/components/mote-peony.md): Mote pack: a peony in full bloom, woven from 45,000 glinting beads. Eight rings of ruffled petals breathe one after another while ripples roll along their edges, and loose beads drift off the rims. Move the cursor through it to part the beads; tap to throw it wide open in a spray of beads that drift home. WebGL point cloud.
